A Viking Journey

  • Screening

Imagine being able to experience how the Vikings lived, especially how young people would have lived during this time. As part of this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg adventure, join Ivan the Viking as he ventures through time to find the saviour of his people.

He tracks down Freya to her part-time job as a tour guide and brings her with him on a Viking journey as he explains to her the true meaning of her name and teaches her about the Viking ways – from what they wore to their beliefs and customs and how they prepared for battle.

The Viking journey is a fun and educational way to enjoy learning about Viking life. This short film comes from the Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford, a forty-acre park that tells the story of human settlement in Ireland from the arrival of the first people to the arrival of the Normans in 1169.
