Backstage Youth Theatre – Spring Writing Production

  • Performance

Working with professional facilitators members of Backstage Youth Theatre will write, direct and produce their own play titled “Romeo & Juliet (the Longford Version)”.

Two houses, both alike in indignity, in Longford Town is where we lay our scene. This short, modern take on the classic follows two young lovers, chafing against the bitter feud of their restaurateur parents who just can’t seem to get over The Curry Chip Conflicts. This fast-paced teenage satire is suitable for lovers and haters of Shakespeare alike. “To see, or not to see?” (To see. Definitely.)

Written by Brendan Williams and directed by Hannah Carleton

Two performances of this play will take place at 2:30pm and 3.30pm on June 15th.

To guarantee a seat for either performance, please book as space is limited. Text 086 736 2000 with your name and number of seats required.
