Baile Nua Cliath
The Watermarque Building
Join the fun at Airbnb's offices in The Watermarque Building as Irish writer, academic and activist Sinéad Burke hosts an interactive talk with kids between 4 - 12 years of age.
Through dialogue, role-play, games, and other activities, find out what your child thinks about Dublin culture, hear what and who inspires them and learn about their hopes for the future. Fun, friendly and in an exciting location, Baile Nua Cliath will facilitate different activities for different age groups on the day, all aimed at exploring thoughts and feelings about doing fun and creative things – what those taking part like or would like to do and why! Agency, autonomy and respect for young voices is a key part of the process.
Sinéad Burke is well-known for her desire to amplify voices and instigate curious conversations. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Trinity College, Dublin on human rights education that specifically comments on the ways in which schools allow children to have a voice.
