Wicklow Arts Office understands that a lot of young people around the county are isolating at home, not able to meet up with friends or participate in their usual creative activities. Normally Cruinniú na nÓg allows us to gather and create in parks, libraries, schools, theatres, woodlands and heritage sites. This year in light of the Covid-19 pandemic this is not possible. So, Wicklow Arts Office are delighted to ask you to create together yet apart this year for Cruinniú. We want you with some assistance from parents or guardians to show us your creative ability and share it with the county.
We are collaborating with well-known Wicklow TV chef Catherine Fulvio of Ballyknockan Cookery School and want you to bake in whatever creative style you like, a cake or cupcakes as part of our Cruinniú na nÓg #CreativeIreland competitions for 2020.
You can choose themes of heritage and recreate Wicklow attractions such as the Round Tower at Glendalough, Brittas Bay or the Bear at Greystones Beach! You could even choose to create a playground or place that you really miss right now being socially distanced.
Prizes include iPads, Headphones, National Book tokens and more! Click here for more information.
