Bone Stories at the Museum of Archaeology
Drop in to the Museum of Archaeology and discover what archaeologists can discover from
looking at bones.
Take a closer look under the microscope at real animal bone finds from an archaeological excavation of a Viking site and see the results on the whiteboard and what can be found out. Then take up the challenge to determine which animal bones might have come from a Bronze Age mound, a bog or a Viking site.
This event is drop-in, you can stay 15 minutes or an hour, and is for children from 9 years of age.
This event takes place in the Learning Resource Room, and unfortunately is not wheelchair accessible.
