Celtic Folklore and Irish Nature Drawing Workshops

  • Workshop

Irish nature and folklore are intrinsically linked, and both play a role in the stories we learn as children. This series of sessions will delve into the subject through the medium of illustration.

An illustration is a wonderful tool that can be used as a form of expression and learning. We will learn about Irish nature and the connection to Celtic folklore and traditions.

Led by visual artist Grace Haynes, who is currently writing a children’s education book in Irish and English, the young people will create artwork in response to stories and information.

The artwork created will be put together in a digital booklet and displayed online afterwards.

All materials supplied.

There are two workshops on Sunday 12 June:

11am–12.30pm

1.30pm–3pm

The workshops are free but places are limited so booking is essential.
