Learn about Irish nature and Celtic folklore and traditions by visiting local parks with artist Grace Haynes.
Irish nature and folklore are intrinsically linked, and both play a role in the stories we learn as children. These workshops will delve into the subject through the medium of illustration. Illustration is a wonderful tool that can be used as a form of both expression and learning.
Led by visual artist Grace Haynes, who is currently writing a children’s education book in Irish and English, the young people will create artwork in response to stories and information.
The artwork created will be put together in a digital booklet and displayed online afterwards.
Suitable for children ages 5–8.
The workshop is free but places are limited so booking is essential.
All materials provided. Wear suitable clothing.
Participants to meet at the Coffee Dock area in Rossmore Park at 10.50am as workshop commences at 11am sharp.
