Young people across South Dublin County can learn how to plan and manage music events with Áras Chronain X Night Time Economy leading to Cruinniú, Satuday 15th June.
The workshops will lead into a Live Performance which will have acts selected by the young people and a headline act. The aim of this event is to explain and demonstrate across the course, what goes into organising a medium to large scale event:
Assigning duties amongst attendees, encouraging teamwork and the importance of advanced organisation and utilisation of time, underlining the backstage support that is needed to put on a show. On Sat. the course will finish off with a Live Performance Event – organised and managed by young people for young people.
Áras Chrónáin currently partner with SDCC in the music project ‘The Night Belongs to US’. This project has been very successful and continues to provide a platform for young people (15-18) to attend and to perform in. Muintir Chronain have proposed that a number of interactive practical workshops leading into to a live performance event would be of great interest to those who want to engage in creating events but may not want to perform themselves.
