Coder Dojo @ Cruinniú na nÓg: Scratch Setup

  • Workshop

Have you ever wanted to learn about coding but don’t know where to start? To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg 2020, we’re bringing Coder Dojo to you! In this activity, you’ll learn how to set up Scratch on your own computer at home.

With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations. Scratch helps young people to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Scratch is one of the world’s leading computer science education tools and is developed by MIT.

This activity requires no prior programming experience and is open for all. The software is available as a free download for Windows, Mac and Linux systems. All you need a computer and you’re ready to go. A browser based version of Scratch is also available for newer tablet devices, such as iPads.

The event is a partnership initiative between Waterford Council and Coder Dojo (Dunmore East).

This event will be available at 2.30 pm on the 11th of June on the Creative Waterford Facebook page, please follow the link below.
