Costuming Hollywood

  • Exhibition

The Irish Costume Archive Project houses over 200 costumes from major Irish films.

On the day, we will have some of the costumes displayed on mannequins and will discuss the role of costume designers in film and television, including their collaboration with actors and directors. The collection includes costumes from films and TV shows such as The Banshees of Inisherin, An Cailín Ciúin, Normal People, The Guard, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, The Tudors, and many more.

Additionally, we will conduct a tour of the archive itself to demonstrate how we catalogue and care for the costumes in the collection.

This is event is free but booking is required.
