Create a Visual Story!

The theme ‘Far Out in Outer Space’ is initially introduced as a story, which the children will then develop into a short comic book. 

Local artist Nicola Sedgwick will explain the comic book creation process by presenting a comic book of the same size that she has created. The title will be placed at the top of the first page, followed by a blank panel for the first picture. Subsequent pages will contain additional blank panels for the children to continue drawing and colouring their stories. Each page will be approximately A3 size, providing ample space for drawing and painting. Nicola will supply the children with pre-drawn panels and picture references related to the workshop theme, allowing them to either cut them out or copy them. Pencils, paints, and markers for filling in their drawings and characters will also be provided.
