Foróige’s Early Intervention Project will engage 15 children and their families in a celebration of art and music for Cruinniú na nÓg South Dublin 2024. Art and music workshops will begin in April and continue for 6 weeks, drumming facilitator Thomas Annang will kick-off the workshops through the introduction of drumming to the children. They will have two workshops with Hernan Gonzalez, a spray paint facilitator where they will have the opportunity to create flags and banners for Cruinniú Day. A final session will be held with Thomas in preparation for a larger drumming session on Cruinniu Day.
On June 15th, the project will host a celebration event in Killinarden Community Centre and the families of the children involved in group will be invited to ‘Create Together Fest’. The flags and banners made by the children will be displayed on the day. Drumming facilitator Thomas will host a drumming session for both the children and their families and will ensure that everyone gets to make noise!
