Creative, Multi-Sensory Play: Helium Arts in partnership with Children in Hospital Ireland (Temple Street)
Helium Arts in partnership with Children in Hospital Ireland will bring multi-sensory, interactive, creative play experiences to young children with additional needs at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin on Friday 22 June as part of Dublin City Council’s Cruinniú na nÓg.
Children in Hospital Ireland play volunteers will engage with participants using sensory art and play techniques inspired by Helium Arts’ Pop Up Picnic, an immersive and multi-sensory performance project for young children with complex needs.
Pre-event, a team of Children in Hospital Ireland volunteers will engage in workshops facilitated by Helium Arts’ Pop Up Picnic performers and creative mentors Niamh Lawlor and Margot Jones. The team will build upon their skills as play volunteers and learn new techniques in music, movement and one-on-one performance.
This project brings the benefit of arts and culture through play to children in hospital, who may otherwise miss out on the Dublin City Council’s Cruinniú na nÓg day of fun!
Please note access is limited to participating hospitals only – and the events take place on Friday 22nd June.
