Throughout the day youth groups across the city and county will be working in film squads to explore youth work through film with their respective youth groups, this work will begin in the weeks running up to Cruinniú na nÓg and will culminate with intensive workshops on the day.
These workshops will be in-person workshops and are targeted at young people and groups who have found it difficult to connect throughout the last year due to restrictions on meeting and socialising. Limerick City and County Council, the Arts Office and Fresh Film are delighted to work with such a diverse mix of groups from across the city and county on Cruinniú na Óg.
Fresh Film will support a group of young people form Dóchas Midwest autism support group to work with a filmmaker working in animation for in person workshops in the weeks leading up to Cruinniú na nÓg. The young people will explore animation as a medium for self-expression and learn core skills for making their own films in the future.
This workshop is only open to members of Dóchas Midwest Autism Support.
