Drama and Play Workshops (Age 3-5)

  • Workshop

Join drama facilitator Joanna Parkes for these four live online workshops for young children to celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg 2021:

The Hat-Maker and the Cheeky Monkeys

A fun and playful drama workshop, adapted from a traditional story from India. Seejo, a hat-maker in Southern India, is busy making beautiful and colourful hats to sell at market so he can buy some treats and presents for his family. But on his way to market he meets some very cheeky monkeys who try to disrupt his plans. Can we help Seejo trick the monkeys and get to the market on time?

  • Workshop 1: 9.30am
  • Workshop 2: 11.30am

The Shy Mouse and Show-Off Lion

Mouse may be small and shy, but does that mean he can’t help the lion? Using the Aesop’s fable of ‘The Mouse and The Lion’ as a starting point, this story explores the idea that whether we’re big or small, young or old, we can all work together and help each other out.

  • Workshop 1: 10.30am
  • Workshop 2: 12.30am
