I am a dlr Comhairle na nÓg member as well as a Webwise Youth panelist. I have been teaching Bollywood dancing for 5 years now and I am a Bollywood and Bharatnatyam dancer myself.

I began dancing at the age of 2 indirectly because my dad used to come home from work and put on music. As I got older it was like a ritual to me that if I had nothing to do I would open my iPad and play a few downloaded Bollywood songs and start dancing. It was from that day my parents knew I was a dancer. When we came to Ireland my parents put me in a dance class at the age of 6 years old and from that day onwards I have won many awards and have performed at many reputable locations all across Ireland!

When I’m being creative I feel very calm and in the moment when I am doing something creative. I feel like letting go of my fears and stress and just living in the moment. I feel like enjoying myself, not worrying what other people think about me.

I think the best thing about Cruinniú na nÓg is that it celebrates the diversity of the population in Ireland as well as the National culture
