Arts and science collide in this fun and engaging activity. Kids will learn about circuits and channel their creativity by making their own light-up greeting cards using super cool and unusual electronics materials.
All materials to design, create and light up your artwork will be provided, including a card template, copper tape, LEDs, battery packs, and more. There will also be a set of instructions, a simple explanation of the science involved, and a link to a short STEM introduction video.
This project is suitable for ages 7 to 12, and parental supervision is advised. Electronic Artwork comes from the Curiosity Box, a UK company that creates hands-on science and engineering activities that help children find the extraordinary in the ordinary and explore the wonder in the world.
Participants will be able to collect their materials pack and step-by-step instructions from their local Meath library during the week of June 7th. For more information, see the Meath Cruinniú na nÓg website.
