Let’s embrace our space!
The LAB Gallery/Dublin City Arts Office is collaborating with North East Inner City Taskforce and Central Model Senior School to present a day of events for local young people in the gallery.
The LAB is usually an experimental space for artists, but it will turn into an open house for local young people for the day. Get inspired!
Embracing Our Space builds on the title of the current LAB Gallery Exhibition: em-bracing. Through a combination of workshops and exhibitions, young people from the area are invited to come in and enjoy the LAB as a creative space, with the freedom of expressing and sharing with one another without limits.
The day will include:
Morning: Early Years (ages 3-6)
Workshop for Ukrainian families with musician Helen Blackmore
Early Afternoon: Children (ages 7-11)
Workshop with artist Louis Haugh and students from Central Model Senior School
Late Afternoon: Teens (ages 12-18)
Cityscapes/Soundscapes with artist Tara Whelan
Breakdance Introduction Workshops (ages 12-18)
Join dancer Adedayo Adeyemi for Breakdance Introduction Workshops at 4pm and 5.30pm
