Explore children’s artistic expression of their experience of the Covid-19 pandemic in a video presentation. The pre-recorded video will present a photographic tableau of each child with an object and will be presented on June 12th for Cruinniú na nÓg.
The video comes from a series of children’s workshops with visual artists and creative facilitator Ruth Wood that took place this spring in West Clare. The workshops were designed to be a fun and an engaging process to aid the creative expression of the pandemic experience. The children explored their experiences through line, colour, and collage, making a number of images with a range of materials.
The workshops are prerecorded and available to do online. The materials required to join in are white card, coloured card, pencils, chalk, and gel crayons.
The prerecorded video presentation from this project will be available on June 12th on the Clare Library YouTube Channel and shared on Creative Ireland Clare Facebook.
