Greywood Arts Youth Group embarks on a 6-week programme focusing on filmmaking with costume production.
The group will be guided through the filmmaking process from initial concept to pre- and post-production with artist-in-residence Amelia Caulfield.
Everyone will have the opportunity to try out the variety of roles involved in a film production including directing, producing, camera operating, sound recording, and acting.
Over the six weeks, participants will collaboratively decide on a theme, genre, and costumes, and will subsequently create a script, storyboard, and shoot schedule. There will be a dedicated costume session where participants get to design and create costume pieces.
Working as a crew, the group will shoot their film on location over two weeks, and will then advise on the edit, music and graphics to be used in the film, as well as planning the screening event.
The film will screen at Greywood Arts Centre at 4pm on 11 June. Friends and family are welcome to come and see what the group created and to hear from the young filmmakers about their experiences.
