This is a creative and immersive forest experience for students of Loreto Primary School, Rathfarnham. It will take place in the woods of St. Enda’s Park and a ‘wild’ area within the grounds of Loreto Primary School over two days. Students from the school are the participants, and experienced Forest School leader Ciara Hinksman will lead the project.
The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive experiences in the outdoors. By participating in engaging and achievable activities in a woodland environment, each child has an opportunity to explore their creativity and develop their intrinsic motivational, emotional, and social skills. Through self-awareness, these skills can be developed so that each child reaches their personal potential.
This is a school project and it is not open the public. However, a film of the project will be created and can be viewed on the Cruinniú South Dublin YouTube Channel from June 12th. This video will capture the students’ project.
