Many Irish language phrases associated with the ocean have a beautiful, lyrical quality to them with evocative mental imagery.
This exciting and vibrant workshop will bring them to a new generation, and provide the stepping off point for them to let their creativity run free in creating visual art inspired by them, and guided by an experienced artist working to nurture their creative skills. During the activity marine biologists will share their knowledge of the marine biodiversity on our home shores. This workshop will foster a sense of pride in our local marine heritage and biodiversity for the participants, and with the artwork displayed locally, encourage use of phrases that could be lost to time.
