Hear our Voice – Drama Screening for Teens by Teens

  • Workshop

Through interactive workshops led by a skilled facilitator, participants will be guided through the process of brainstorming, scripting, and rehearsing their own creative performances. The final performance will serve as a celebration of the participants’ talents and accomplishments, fostering a sense of pride and camaraderie within the community.

Teenagers in Galway City, are the primary participants in this project. A series of workshops leading up to Cruinniú na nÓg were facilitated by experienced actor and facilitator Sinead Hackett, in collaboration with Youth Work Ireland and Foróige. Over four workshops held at Westside Library will ultimately culminate in a screening of a performance created by the teenagers themselves on 15 June.

The workshops provided a safe and accessible space for teenagers to explore their creativity and express themselves through drama and writing. ‘Hear our Voice’ offers teenagers a unique opportunity to experience a showcase of creative expression and foster a stronger connection to their local library and community.
