Helium Arts Exhibition

  • Exhibition

Helium Arts – a national children’s charity committed to improving the wellbeing of children and young people living with lifelong physical health conditions – is delighted to present CREATIVITUDE.

This is a week-long exhibition of artworks created by young people from Cork, Galway, and Limerick who participated in Helium Arts Creative Health Hub programmes during 2022 and 2023.

CREATIVITUDE will run from 11th – 15th June, open to the public daily from 9am – 4pm.  Entry is free of charge.

About the Exhibition

Curated by Monica Flynn and made in collaboration with the wonderfully talented artists, Ashleigh Ellis, Chelsea Canavan, Sarah Fuller and Niamh Gibbons, the works on display provide a window into the creative exploration of materials, expressions of identity and ideas by young people that go beyond their experience of illness.

The presentation will bring together the creative work of a diverse group of young people aged 6 – 16yrs including: large scale collaborative drawings in mixed media; sculpted and brightly decorated hands; tinted glasses that alter your view of the world; three dimensional drawings; beautiful animations inspired by Adventures in Dreamland and joyful protest ephemera highlighting issues of access in our cities and cultural spaces.
