An inclusive day of children and young people doing, making and creating!
It’s a summer of elections yet when it comes to democracy, children often don’t get included. Why not?
The Linenhall is celebrating the voice of children and young adults through creativity by turning Castlebar into a space that speaks back!
Get ready to see the world as young people see it! Slogan t-shirts, craftivism, banners, badge making, new worlds with Dungeons & Dragons and a protest song – sing-along combine to create a memorable day of art at the heart of Mayo.
This event is by the Linenhall Community Artists led by Alekandra Schulte & Ruby Staunton. Children will enjoy badge making, creating their own voter ID cards and drawing their wishes for the future. This interactive workshop will share paper folding, techniques, colour theory, and introduction to sympathetic movement.
Children will be thrilled when their creations come to life. The artworks created are designed to be taken home for further enjoyment!
No prior experience is needed!
