The students of Tibohine N.S. will collect folklore and stories from older people in the locality and surrounding areas guided by workshops with Ultan O’Brien throughout late April and May.
The public will be invited to the school on June 15th to share stories, songs, music or memories of the past. On the day, the school will be set up to record short interviews between the children and the older people. Artist Ultan O’Brien will work with the students to explore best practices in folklore collecting, record all the interviews (sound and video) and subsequently edit and store the audio and visuals.
