I Speak in Moves

Young dancers from DYDC’s (Dublin Youth Dance Company) Transitions ensemble will present original choreography developed by them with teacher/choreographer Yumi Lee. Inspired by the theme of heritage, place and language the dancers will express their emotions, hopes, fears and desires through movement. This work was created especially for Cruinniú na nÓg 2024.

In case of rain or inclement weather, the dance performances will be held in the Dance Theatre of Ireland Centre for Dance Studio located beside the IMC Cinema in Myrtle Square.

We believe young people from all backgrounds should have the opportunity to experience dance and, if they wish, to make it central to their lives. We also provide audiences with performances that allow them to enjoy the distinctive qualities of youth dance.

This project was funded through dlr’s Cruinniú na nÓg 2024 Open Call.
