Throughout the day youth groups across the city and county will be working in film squads to explore youth work through film with their respective youth groups, this work will begin in the weeks running up to Cruinniú na nÓg and will culminate with intensive workshops on the day. These workshops will be in-person workshops and are targeted at young people and groups who have found it difficult to connect throughout the last year due to restrictions on meeting and socialising. Limerick City and County Council, the Arts Office and Fresh Film are delighted to work with such a diverse mix of groups from across the city and county on Cruinniú na Óg.
To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg, Fresh Film Festival will be hosting a series of in-person workshops on aspects of filmmaking available to members of Kilmallock Foróige with filmmaker Maeve McGrath.
Facilitated by skilled filmmakers from the city and county, participants will be able to explore filmmaking as a medium for self-expression and learn core skills for making their own films in the future and a workshop will be held once a week in the run up to Cruinniú na nÓg.
Please note, this event will only be open to members of Kilmallock Foróige.
