Take a journey into the imagination without the use of devices, as we experience a guided inquiry and exploration of the sounds, smells, colours, textures, and temperatures of things in the woods. By paying close attention to details like these (which often go unnoticed), a whole new world is opened up for the imagination.
This guided inquiry will be the jumping-off point for making our own artwork. Children will collect natural materials and are free to let their sense of creativity guide them in any way.
They can make patterns, fantasy landscapes, mini gardens, little creatures – the possibilities are limitless. We may build our creation together as a group or individually, depending on the ideas developed in the first inquiry phase.
Children will be encouraged to develop a story as they collect and create, and later, the stories will be shared. We’ll use movement, sound and other elements in the woods for the storytelling portion of the workshop.
Laugh, discover, and make new friends at this engaging and multi-faceted workshop!
