Come along to an innovative art exhibition by the young people of Laois, inspired by our collective sense of place and identity.
Hosted by Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise, the project asks young people across the county to creatively respond to the idea of place and the locations in Laois that mean the most to them through painting, sculpture, print, collage, photography, mixed media, Lego, graffiti and more.
Participants are invited to think about the locations they love to explore, such as woodlands, parks and rivers. A favourite climbing tree perhaps or place to build a fort. A market, museum or place you like to go with your friends.
The exhibition will feature five chosen artworks from each age category and illustrate a creative journey across the county. Selected artists in each category will have their artwork included in a limited series of postcards available to the public at Dunamaise Arts Centre.
Want to enter? Submit your artwork by 25 May. Then join us on 11 June for the exhibition.
