Little Druids for Humanity

Ballincollig children are creating handcrafted wizardry, cooking up ancient magic potions, performing neighbourhood enchantments, recording and sharing video stories in the weeks leading up to and following Cruinniú na nÓg. All in order to transform the world into a better place, as Little Druids for Humanity. This magical virtual arts project and game for children and young people, their families and neighbourhood begins from the children and young people’s very own bedroom, then their kitchens, finally venturing out locally.

Created by Chilean theatre makers Teatro Container in association with Cork Midsummer Festival and Cork artists Francesca Castellano and film-maker Linda Curtin. Teatro Container were one of the highlights of last year’s festival with their participatory performance and dining project La Cocina Pública, housed in a mobile shipping container in Cork’s South Parish.
