Longford Cruinniú na nÓg at the foot of Brí Leith with Ardagh Tree Fairies
Ardagh Tree Fairies are celebrating their home Brí Leith. Come and join them for some fairy fun for Creative Ireland's Criunnú na nÓg on 23rd June from 12pm to 5pm.
On this magical occasion, a Daire the Oak Tree Fairy will explain how Brí Leith got its name during storytime with, and children will then be invited to tell their own magical tale in the story circle, or take part in a drama involving Brí Leith’s most famous residents Midir and Etain.
The secret letters each tree fairy has hidden around the garden will explain about ancient tree lore and other local legends.
Children will be invited to create a Brí Leith or Tree Fairy inspired art work in Batik, Clay and Painting workshops, play woodland games, or bring their own picnic to enjoy in the garden beside all the Presidents' Trees.
This is an outdoors event weather permitting that will be moved inside if necessary. Light refreshments will be provided and all are welcome.
