Longford Pride Parade takes place for the very first time on June 15th. This fun street spectacle will be accessible to all young people and will focus on a celebratory parade through the town. 

Bula Bula, Longford’s resident samba band are the chief organisers of this event. Consultation meetings have taken place with young people and their parents to make this a safe, inclusive, and fun community event. All young people taking part in this event must register on the day with parental/guardian consent.

A craft market takes place before the parade with a host of local crafts and food stalls. An evening of entertainment and live music will commence directly after the parade. The unique “Pig Market Lane” will be the venue for both elements.

Event Schedule

• 12 noon  –  Craft Market at Pig Market Lane.
• 3.30pm  –  Parade registration at Connolly Barracks, Bridge Street, N39 EA43.
• 4pm  –  Parade departs Connolly Barracks.
• 4.30pm  –  Parade returns to Pig Market Lane for live entertainment with Ozzie, Stampz, Fulcrum & M.A.D.
• 8:30pm  –  Event ends (All other elements after this time are strictly over 18s)

Please Remember

Parental/Guardian consent for young people under 18 who wish to take part in the parade must be given at registration. The Longford Pride team will be on hand to provide support regarding this.
