Think you need lots of gear to make a movie? Think again!
In this workshop, award-winning independent filmmaker and co-director of the Boyne Valley International Film Festival Frank W. Kelly will teach you how to shoot a low-budget short film using your smartphone.
The workshop is based on Frank’s book 8 Simple Steps to Making Your Short Film, and it will include all the steps needed to create your film, including writing a screenplay, planning the shoot, and capturing the story with your smartphone.
You have a film studio in your pocket—here, you’ll learn how to use it!
This workshop is for ages 16 to 18 (another workshop will be offered for ages 14 to 16). Places are limited, so please be sure to book.
Please note: This is a public event and a photographer will be present for part of the session. Attendees will be asked to sign in and grant consent for photographs to be taken. If you would prefer not to have you or your child’s photograph taken, please make the photographer aware of this.
