Kids Art Workshop – Interactive Installation

We all make our mark on the world in our own unique way. Different traditions, languages, cultures, and backgrounds all play a part.

When we choose to learn from each other we all grow together. In this arts workshop for children aged 6-12, participants will make artifacts (objects) that represent us and our uniqueness which will be hung on a tree to represent the abundance that grows when we learn from each other.

Trees are symbols of strength, expression, calmness and the interconnectedness of everything.

Participants are advised to wear old clothing.

This event is an extension of the Shared Island “Bridging Borders, Embracing Diversity” project which aims to establish a cross-border, cross-community arts and cultural diversity programme for two primary schools—one in Donegal and one in Derry-Londonderry. This initiative is designed to foster cultural exchange, promote understanding, and celebrate diversity among students, educators, and the wider community.
