Artist Olga Duka will hold six weeks of workshops with children at the Connect Family Resource Centre in Drogheda to promote and develop craftsmanship using a range of materials.
The children will be guided to use different techniques to create ornamental objects and toys, for use in play or as decoration in their own rooms.
They’ll learn to design a toy from scratch, starting with a sketch and then realising it in their chosen medium. To keep things sustainable, these budding designers will use natural and recyclable materials such as clay, paper, grain, hay and fabric.
On Saturday 11 June, the children will have the exciting opportunity to proudly exhibit their work in Drogheda Library.
