In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the world of animation and create their own automata out of simple waste material.
An automata is a cardboard mechanism that can move through the pushing and pulling of simple switches and mechanisms. It is a playful way to explore simple machines while creating live sculptures.
The workshop will guide participants through the creative process from ideation to production of their own automata. Participants will be encouraged to be creative with their automata adding elements that interest them from their local environment, culture and heritage.
List of materials needed to participate:

- stick (a chopstick or pencil)
