Join an exciting Cruinniú na nÓg Drop In Art Workshop for Children at the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life.

Bumbley Winged Crawly Things

Create a little creature using paint, cardboard, and glue in response to the groundbreaking exhibition all about bees in the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, called Crónán na mBeach, The Murmur of Bees.

Supplies are provided and sessions are 45 minutes long. Suitable for primary school aged children plus a parent or guardian. See below for a list of available sessions.

3pm – 3:45pm

Why not drop in to design and create your own cardboard insect to take home, working alongside artist Cas McCarthy in a fun and creative environment!

No booking required but please note spaces are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Cruinniú na nÓg Drop-In Workshop: Megalithic Big Draw! is located at:

Celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg and visit the Learning Resource Room to take part in our Big Draw and decorate our giant paper with megalithic and cave art!

Learn about the different designs, patterns and shapes that people in Stone Age Ireland used to decorate megalithic tombs, just like Newgrange. Create your own cave hand print to take home with you. 

No booking required. Located in the Learning Resource Room, First Floor. Not wheelchair accessible. This workshop is for families.

Make Your Mark!

It is a print-making workshop for families where they can design their own stamp and decorate a card to send to their loved ones.

Inspired by the multicultural symbols on A Dress for Ramlah and A Dress for Akunma, on view in the exhibition we make our own histories at Collins Barracks, design and print a symbol that represents you on a greeting card using just a few simple materials.

Suitable for ages 6+. No booking is required. Come and go as you please!
