Never been to the Gallery before? Why not join us for a gentle but fun introduction for children, their adults may even learn a thing or two as well!
Tours are free, but booking is required.

Hugh Lane Gallery
Join artist Romanian born Anca Danila in this creative family workshop for Romanian speaking families.
In this workshop, Anca will guide participating families on a tour of selected artworks on exhibition. Following this, Anca will bring the group to our ‘Education Space’ where she will guide them in a facilitated art activity, experimenting with artistic techniques and materials in a relaxed and creatively stimulating environment.
Anca Danila is a visual artist born in Romania and based in Dublin where she lives and has worked for more than a decade. She has a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Art and Design Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her works have been displayed in numerous exhibitions in institutions and galleries around the world.
No experience required. All materials provided.

Global Dance Party for Children
Location: Pavilion, Front Lawn | Time: 2pm to 4pm | Drop-in, no booking required.
To celebrate Cruinniu na nOg, come and join us for a day of free creative activity for young people. We offer the time and space to explore your physical exuberance through favourite family movement games, playful contemporary dance warm-ups and short relaxation exercises for children, to the sounds of music from around the world.
Movement will be facilitated by Paola Catizone and world music by DJ Nigel Wood. No dance experience needed, all welcome!
Please wear comfortable clothes that will not restrict movement. Appropriate footwear and clothing are recommended as this will take place outdoors.
National Concert Hall
Come one, come all to our family concert, where music and fun collide! On this year’s national day of free creative activities for children and young people. Join The Wild Turkeys @11am and @12:30 for an interactive concert of Irish traditional music which will have you tapping your feet and clapping along.
Our family-friendly atmosphere means that children of all ages are welcome!
All adults must be accompanied by a child.
