Nature Spatter Printing
This is a nature-themed workshop that will allow the children to experience and learn about the environment and biodiversity of the community garden.
The children will be asked to collect leaves, flowers and foliage and, having first discussed the different types of plants that they have gathered, we will use the flowers and leaves as resists for creating a spatter print – a process where ink is sprayed and spattered over the leaves collected to create a negative silhouette print.
The children will also learn about a technique called salt resist, where salt is applied to the wet printing ink to create beautiful textures and patterns.
There are three sessions on the day: 10:00 – 11:30, 12:30 – 14:00 and 15:00 – 16:30. No advance booking, just drop by. All welcome!
