The Nenagh Children’s Film Festival takes place 9-11 June 2023. Now in its fourth year, it features a weekend of screenings, workshops and Q&As dedicated to our young audiences, with Cruinniú na nÓg at the heart of the festival.
This year, we are hosting a blended event, with the full programme of screenings available online and a selection of screenings and workshops taking place in person at Nenagh Arts Centre.
Workshop: Acting the Monkey
Have you ever met someone who reminded you of an animal? Maybe they were hyperactive like a puppy or slow and grumpy like a bear. Animals can inspire posture, voice, and movement. Think of Harry Potter’s Voldemort who slithers and speaks like a snake, or Spiderman, with his quick movements. In this workshop we will create characters by finding an animal that matches the character you want to portray.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 8 to 12. Be sure to reserve your place at the booking link!
