Grab your seat and hang on tight for scéals from Galway that’ll take you far far away. As a young fella Niall de Búrca spent his Summers swimming out Salthill or on the river at the Franks, Menlo and Woodquay. On rainy days he’d be in the Library filling his head full of stories. For Cruinniu na nÓg ’20 he will share some of his favourite tales direct from Galway. These stories will be streamed from Galway City Library and Galway Public Libraries Facebook pages on 13th June.
Niall de Burca is a scéalaí; a traditional storyteller with the ability to connect with audiences of all ages. He has performed on many occasions at Ireland’s National Museum of Antiquities, The National Library Of Ireland and held workshops at the National Folk Life Museum.
