Presented by Fingal Arts Office, The Irish School Orchestra and Creative Ireland, Orchestral Odyssey invites you to be swept away by the enchanting world of orchestral music. Orchestral Odyssey will bring the magic of a full orchestra directly to children in school settings, and families in the newly refurbished Carnegie Library on June 15th.
Children will be encouraged to explore the layers of orchestral compositions, and to understand the unique role of each instrument and the intricate art of ensemble performance. The project features a diverse repertoire of carefully selected songs about inclusivity, diversity and uniqueness. Classical masterworks, memorable film scores, beloved TV themes and captivating opera & contemporary arias will feature.
Join us on Saturday June 15th at the historic Carnegie Library Swords. Clap your hands, stomp your feet and sing along as we embark on a thrilling journey through the rhythm and harmony of orchestral instruments. Shake a maraca, tap a tambourine, and get ready to unleash your inner maestro as we join forces with the sensational Irish School Orchestra for an interactive musical extravaganza.
