Photogram Workshop

  • Workshop

A photogram is a photograph that is made without a camera. Items are placed on top of special photographic paper which is then left in sunlight to create a shadow picture. It usually has different tones and shades, depending on how transparent the objects are.

In this fun online workshop for 6-13 year olds facilitated by Brian Cregan, you will create three unique photograms using plants, flowers, leaves etc from your home.

This photographic technique is a fun, educational tool that allows you to take a refreshing step back to basics from the digital age, using items from your local environment, without the need for a darkroom or chemicals.

This free online event takes place live on the 13th of June, with a free craft pack for all participants.

Numbers are limited so advance booking is essential.

All participants must book via The Séamus Ennis Arts Centre website to receive a free craft kit with everything needed to create photograms, including a stamped postcard to send one of the finished prints to a friend/loved one.
Participants need a device with a camera and mic and an internet connection.

A Zoom link will be provided to participants in advance of the event.
