Pixelcan Street Art

  • Workshop

On Saturday 12 June, join dlr and Every Can Counts on the streets of Dún Laoghaire for this exclusive live event and be part of creating the first ever PixelCan artwork in Ireland.

This colourful piece of art will be made by painting recycled cans collected by volunteers, and assembling them in place to reveal a beautiful picture that serves as an eye-catching reminder for all of us to recycle. This message is particularly important now we have a little more freedom, and never has it looked more beautiful!

The cans used on the day will be collected the previous week on Saturday 5 June which is World Environment DayEvery Can Counts is welcoming Dún Laoghaire Tidy Towns and youth volunteers as part of their European Recycling Tour. They will be collecting endlessly recyclable drink cans in 16 European countries on this day, all in an effort to keep the cycle going.

Start a story that never ends by helping us to transform littered drink cans into a beautiful piece of art. This is a live outdoor walk-up event running from 12pm-5pm on Sat 12th.
