Macroom School of Art will deliver a series of creative and engaging printmaking workshops with young people aged 10-18 years from Foróige in Macroom.
These creative and engaging sessions will result in a final exhibition in order to enrich and inspire artistic culture in Macroom this June 10.
A fun, free creative project with a focus on collaboration with the local community at both primary and secondary level, we aim to build the participants’ confidence in creativity and printmaking process skills, as well as reflect on and discuss the artwork made and how it should be exhibited in June.
We want to support children to gain a deeper enjoyment and understanding of art through working with practicing and inclusive artists as well as exhibiting their artwork made at Macroom School of Art. The overarching aim is to develop the children’s confidence in their own creative thinking and intuitive capacities through an approach that values experimentation and process.
An exhibition of works created will take place on Saturday 10 June at Macroom School of Art from 12noon-3pm.
No booking required, all welcome.
