Small Wonders by Púca Puppets is a multisensory interactive performance experience in Irish, perfect for babies and toddlers aged up to 24 months and their grown-ups.
Two performers, George and Niamh, use music and puppets to welcome the children to our world of nature, growth and environment. Together, we playfully celebrate their birth in the context of the natural world’s benefits for health and well-being.
This performance will be delivered through Irish. As it is mostly musical/non-verbal, no knowledge of Irish is needed to enjoy the show.
Small Wonders was created by: director: Sarah Fitzgibbon; producer, performer, puppet maker: Niamh Lawlor; composer, performer: George Higgs; set, prop and costume design: Orla Kelly; photography Mark Granier.
We thank the families and workers who collaborated in the development of Small Wonders.
Adaptation of the piece for children with special needs is thanks to the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media’s Live Performance Programming Scheme and Healthy Ireland.
For the early years show (ages 0-2) there is a maximum capacity of 10 babies (plus adults).
