Quilling at Oughterard Library

  • Workshop

Quilling is an activity that involves manipulating cut paper by curling and layering it to create artistic images. We will be utilizing the skills of a local artist, Mimi Sazali, who will conduct the 1-hour workshop in the Oughterard Library space. Children will explore their creativity by learning to make different shapes and patterns, which will then be glued together to build a bigger picture or design.

This type of workshop has previously been used as art therapy, so it offers overall wellness benefits that help children develop their ability to focus and work together.

The workshop will take place at 2 pm and is aimed at children aged 8-10.
