Throughout the day youth groups across the city and county will be working in film squads to explore youth work through film with their respective youth groups, this work will begin in the weeks running up to Cruinniú na nÓg and will culminate with intensive workshops on the day.
These workshops will be in-person workshops and are targeted at young people and groups who have found it difficult to connect throughout the last year due to restrictions on meeting and socialising. Limerick City and County Council, the Arts Office and Fresh Film are delighted to work with such a diverse mix of groups from across the city and county on Cruinniú na Óg.
Facilitated by skilled filmmakers from the city and county, participants will be able to explore filmmaking as a medium for self-expression and learn core skills for making their own films in the future each Tuesday in the run up to Cruinniú na nÓg from 4pm to 6pm.
To celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday 12th June, Fresh Film Festival will be hosting a series of in-person workshops on aspects of filmmaking available to members of Rathkeale Youth Services.
Please note, this event will be only open to members of Rathkeale Youth Services. Further details will be available via this link.
