Robot Workshop at Mountmellick Library

  • Workshop

Join us for some robotic fun in Mountmellick Library for a maker-led, project-based, S.T.E.A.M. workshop.

In this hands-on creative construction workshop for ages 8-10, we will assemble robots from cardboard.

Your robot can be customised as you build it – it will also be jointed and light up! As an added bonus, we will bring different electronic robots and give a demonstration of the many types of robots there are including a talking head!

Robots are used in many industries and while we often think of robots as walking and talking – the most commonly found robots are those that are used in manufacturing or to help out with repetitive tasks:

-One of the largest uses of robotics in the world is in the automotive industry.

-Amazon logistics centres make incredible use of AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robots) used to automate the task of picking products for shipment.

Spaces are limited, booking essential at 057 864 4572 /
