Arts and science collide in this fun and engaging activity. Kids will learn about circuits and channel their creativity by making their own light-up greeting cards using super cool and unusual electronics materials. They’ll work in pairs to design and light up their artwork.
All materials will be provided, including a card template, copper tape, LEDs, battery packs, and more. Kits will be delivered to your school during the week of June 7th.
A teacher’s pack with instructions and a simple explanation of the science involved will be included as well as a link to a short STEM introduction video. The activity comes from the Curiosity Box, a UK company that creates hands-on science and engineering activities that help children find the extraordinary in the ordinary and explore the wonder in the world.
This programme is suitable for 2nd class upwards and booking is open to schools only. Schools can do this workshop any time that suits them. More information is available on the Meath Cruinniú na nÓg website.
